
Leigh Seddon is the founder of Solar Works, Inc., which became Alteris Renewables in 2008. From 1980 to 2010, the companies designed and installed thousands of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems in the U.S. and in developing countries. Mr. Seddon served as CEO of Solar Works and then Director of Engineering for Alteris Renewables.
Over his 45-year career, Mr. Seddon has served as a consultant to electric utilities, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Bank. He is also the author of numerous articles on renewable energy and energy efficiency, including the Sandia Laboratory manual, “Stand-Alone Photovoltaic Systems.” Much of Mr. Seddon’s current work focuses on climate change, global energy systems, and the impact of beneficial electrification to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
